■3rd Person POV■

~Flashback six years ago~

At a not so crowded street, a girl with (h/C) hair is cornered by two boys. The girl was on her way back from cram school when the two boys who are from the same cram school follow her and pull her to an empty alley.

Boy1: L/N... you're so quiet that makes it hard for us to approach you...

Boy2: we just want to be close to you...

Y/N: p-please... let me go...

The boys are smiling but it sends chills to her spine. Just when one of the boys leans in closer to the crook of her neck.

Daichi: What the hell are you doing!? Get off of her!

When the two boys move back, Y/N sees a boy with dark hair glaring at the two boys. His uniform is from the same school as her, Karasuno.

As Daichi without fear approaches the three in the alleyway, his gaze makes the two boys scared instead. They leave Y/N and the girl looks at the boy who helped her.

Y/N: th-thank you...

Daichi turns around and looks at the girl.

Daichi: are you alright?

Y/N nods her head and Daichi sighs, he smiles at Y/N and then notices that she wears Karasuno's uniform.

Daichi: you're also from Karasuno... I'm Sawamura Daichi...

Y/N looks as Daichi holds his hand out and she takes it and shakes hands with him.

Y/N: L/N Y/N...

~Ends of flashback.

L/N Y/N has just arrived at Miyagi station. She left Miyagi six years ago after graduated from Karasuno.

She studied at a University in Tokyo and then work there for two years before deciding to go back to Miyagi to continue the family business.

Y/N is walking under the dark sky of 8 p.m in the evening, heading to where her parent's store is. When she was about to get into the neighborhood area, some guys stands in front of her.

Guy1: hi missy~

Guy2: where are you going at this time... alone...

Guy1: want an acompany?

Y/N grips on her bag tightly and tries to evade them politely.

Y/N: thank you, but no... I'm about to arrive at my destination...excuse me...

When Y/N was about to pass those guys, one of them grabs on her arm. Y/N looks back with horror as bad memory came to her mind.

■Y/N's POV■

I look back as one of them is grabbing my arm. I try to pull my arm away but his grip is tight.

Y/N: p-please let me go...

The other guy comes closer to me, I became more uncomfortable.

Guy2: come on, let's get to know each other...

He's getting closer, I hate it.

Please... someone help...

???: what are you doing to that lady!!?

A masculine voice rang loudly on this empty road. I could feel the hand that gripping my arm loosen and finally let me go.

Guy1: crap, it's the officer...

Officer?

Those guys run away and I look at them as they're running for their life.

???: are you okay miss?

The sound of footsteps running closer to me and the voice of that officer, make me turn around to face him.

Y/N: ah... thank you so much, officer...

???: you're welcome... thankfully I'm patrolling around here...

As I look up at the officer's face, a slight familiarity hit me.

Have I... seen him before?

I look down at the name tag on his uniform.

Sawamura... Daichi...

A memory from when I was in high school came to mind, as a boy helped me from a similar situation.

Y/N: um... excuse me... were you... Karasuno's student?

His eyes widened and look confused.

Daichi: yes, have we met before?

It's really him...

Y/N: ah... yes... I was also Karasuno's student... you... helped me back then... I'm L/N Y/N...

Sawamura looks like he is thinking when his eyes widened again and stare at me.

Daichi: That L/N Y/N!? Wow, it's been a while...

Y/N: ah yes, it's been a while...

Daichi: Haven't seen you since high school...

Y/N: Hehe, I left right after I graduated..

Sawamura san smiles, he has this strong but warm demeanor, just like back then.

He helped me again...

Being a police officer...

Suits him well...

■Daichi's POV■

I'm walking down the neighborhood to the shopping district with L/N. I'm actually head there as well because my post is not far from that shopping district.

Daichi: so you were in Tokyo for a while?

L/N nods her head and told me about her life in Tokyo. She studied there and worked there for two years before deciding to return to Miyagi.

L/N: and I decided to go back and help out with my family's business...

Daichi: what store that your family owned? I work around there so I might be familiar with some of the shop keeper...

L/N: ah it's the L/N Cookies...

I know that store, in fact, I'm pretty familiar with the couple who owns the store. They're quite the humble ones, they sometimes gave me cookies.

I walk her to that store and when we arrived at the store, just before L/N slide the door open, Mr. L/N came.

Shoji: Y/N! Why didn't you tell me that you'll come today, I'll pick you up at the station.

Mr. L/N hugs L/N tightly, definitely missing his daughter. Not long after Mrs. L/N came as well.

Shuri: welcome sweetie...

L/N hugs her mother before smiling at them.

Y/N: I'm home mom, dad...

I've heard that Mr. And Mrs. L/N has a daughter that lives away, but never thought that she was L/N Y/N, someone that I knew from high school.

I could see how this couple looks happy with the sight of their daughter, it brings warm feelings to me.

Just then, as I'm looking at them, Mr. L/N looks my way.

Shoji: oh! Sawamura... on a night patrol around the neighborhood?

Daichi: yes, I was passing by when I met your daughter and walk here together with her.

L/N walks and stands in front of her parents.

Y/N: Sawamura san saved me earlier... I was bothered by strangers when he came.

Mr. And Mrs. L/N's eyes are widened and they look worried for a split second.

Shoji: oh my god honey, I told you, you should have called me to pick you up if you're coming here...

Mr. L/N gently puts his hands on his daughter's shoulder, L/N smiles sweetly at her worried father and tells him that she's alright. I feel that Mrs. L/N came closer to me so I look her way.

Shuri: Sawamura kun, thank you so much for walking my daughter here, and for saving her... we owe you...

Shoji: come on, stop by for some sweets...

Daichi: ah no, it's practically my job... thank goodness that I passed by that road when she was in a pinch... I'm glad I'm able to help her earlier.

L/N comes and stands in front of me, she bows her head before looking up at me and smiles kindly. We weren't that close back in high school so I rarely see her or talk to her. But now when I look at her closely.

She's very pretty.. no wonder a lot of guys are aiming to talk to her...

I didn't realize that I'm staring at her until I hear her voice.

Y/N: Sawamura san.. once again thank you so much... you've saved me again, I wish I could repay you...

Shuri: again?

I look at Mrs. L/N's face as she stares at L/N after what she said. L/N looks at her mother and tells her about the day I found her in the same situation and shooed the boys who's cornering her.

Shoji: hahaha, so you guys have met before... I never knew that you were also a Karasuno student...

Shuri: Sawamura kun had a sense of justice since young I see... well, please do join us for dinner sometimes, you've helped our Y/N twice.

Daichi: I'll keep it in mind...

Mrs. L/N excuses herself and walks inside, followed by Mr. L/N. L/N was about to follow her parents but then she turns around looks at me.

Y/N: ah... um it's a pleasure to meet you again like this... thank you so much, and do your best with your shift...

Daichi: glad to see you again too L/N... maybe we'll see each other more often now that you'll be at the store often and my post is only five minutes away...

Her eyes widened but then she smiles sweetly.

Y/N: I'd like that.. well... good evening Sawamura san... be careful Mr. Police

Dub dub

Daichi: good evening..

I watch as she bows her head and turns around, walking into her parent's store. I bring a hand to my chest. I thought my heart beats faster a moment ago, but maybe that was just my imagination.

I'm happy for the L/N..

Now they'll be with their daughter that they missed so much...

But, I'm also happy..

To meet her....

After all, there aren't many people my age around here..

So, that's normal to be happy about finding a new friend to talk to...

Right?
